What is a D License Training Course?

D license provides the ability to drivers to operate vehicles such as a straight truck, dump truck, cement truck, garbage truck, rescue & fire truck with confidence and safety. At the Olympic Truck Training Centre Inc., we ensure that all of our students are properly trained and qualified to operate a truck on Ontario roads with professional standards. In our Licence D training program we will prepare you for vehicle inspection, on the road training and safety procedures.

What is Covered in a D License Training Course?

  • Pre-Trip vehicle inspection
  • Vehicle controls during emergencies
  • Space management between vehicles on the road
  • Route planning & preparing for hazardous weather conditions
  • Off road, on road & highway training
  • Turns, backing & shifting
  • Safety requirements
  • Emergency procedures
  • Parking & cargo security

Who is Required to Take D Training?

This training prepares you prior to attempting the road test if:

  • If you want to drive any truck or vehicle combination exceeding 11,000 kilograms
  • The towed vehicle weighs less than 4,600 kg

Admission Requirements Prior to Registering for the D Training Course

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Hold a valid Ontario G driver's license (G1 or G2 are not eligible)

We will train and get you ready for every step of the licensing process.

What Will You Graduate with After Completing the D Training Course?

Having successfully completed the D driver training course you will receive:

  • The training and skills required to successfully pass your road test with Ministry of Transportation Ontario
  • After successfully completing a Road test you will receive an Ontario D Driver's License

How to Register for D Driver Training?

Our courses start on the Monday of every week and you can register by calling in, visiting our office or registering online.

 

Once your registration is confirmed you will receive all course information required to successfully take the course.

This program does not require approval under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005
